American country artist Vivien Searcy |
Vivien
Searcy started singing as a
little girl and soon she was appearing with different cover-bands, in
choirs and in various musical events. She quickly found her home on stage,
always comfortable and self confident under the spotlight. As her father
says" She's a true Elvis on stage!" September 2002
A few months pass and they manage to gather some of the best country musicians
in Sweden to back up Vivien. October 2002 After
Vivien's and the Ozarks debut concert, they instantly got booked for Sweden’s
biggest annual Country event, Lida Country Festival. December 2002 Vivien and The Ozarks record a quick demo at the “Record´in” studio at Heron City, Stockholm February 2003 Vivien Searcy and The Ozarks start with the recordings of the commercial CD at Steam Engine Studios in Norrköping (Sweden) and SAE studios, Solna . Patricia Viguurs is recording and producing the album. March 2003 Vivien wins the song contest “Schlager Stjärna
2003” at the Globe Arena shopping center that was held
in combination with the Swedish Song Contest 2003. Vivien sang her song "Guitar Man" and won over
many acts from all over Sweden. The jury consisted of Bert
Karlsson (Fame Factory & Mariann Records), Annika
Ljungberg (Rednex), Andres Estache and all the people at the shopping center. Vivien was praised for her
fantastic voice and singing capability, her scene appearance and genuine
star quality. During Summer 2003 Vivien
Searcy and The Ozarks will appear at different events in Stockholm.
2004 We continue recordings for the album at GTP Studio early 2004 Charlotte "Charlie" Centervall joined The Ozarks with the gig at Alcazar in june, and stayed with us from that day on. Charlie plays acoustic & electric guitars and sings harmony vocals. Vivien & The Ozarks played at scenes like Restaurangernas Dag Kungsträdgården (Stockholm), Alcazar (Nalen) Vemdalen Countryfestival, Dancing Dingo and more. We had a stand-in for Charlie during the the Vemdalen gig. Another Charlie, Charlie Berg, leadsinger from the famous Swedish band Charlies Magasine, helped us out and enjoyed playing with us. At Dancing Dingo we had the premier playing unplugged, all acoustic instruments. Jonas switched the electric bass to a straight up bass. The crowd even mentioned we sounded like Alison Kraus & The Union Station.. (We thank u for that compliment :) We continued recording & planning for the album and during fall we started recording additional musicians in the new Ragdoll Studio. 2005 Full house in the Ragdoll Studio all year long, for the additional recordings for the Vivien Searcy Album. Recording musicians like Kjell Johansson, Thomas Haglund, Annika Blomfeldt and Nicke Widén. During fall Nicke joined The Ozarks and became an ordinairy member. The Ragdoll Studio gave the project the workingflow we all longed for. It´s sounding really great. We´re now heading for the first Vivien Searcy single "Another Rainy Day". A duett written by Caroline Bränngård & Cecilia Brändström. The song is a duett with famous Swedish singer Mathias Holmgren. Produced by Patricia Viguurs. She also did the recordings & final mix. Viviens "hit-the-drums" brother Leif Searcy made a wonderful Club Remix, included on the forthcoming 3 track CD maxi single. Mastering by Chistofer Stannow at Cosmos Mastering, Stockholm. Officiel CD Single release January 12 th 2006 2006 The Vivien Searcy single "Another Rainy Day" was released at January 12 th 2006 during a crowdy release party at Dancin´ Dingo in Stockholm. The single recieved great reviews in the press and is picked up by most of the Swedish Radio SR P4 channels. Even several local radiostations and country music channels are playing the single and some put it on their hitcharts for public voting. Untill today (april 9th) the single is still present at both the Folkradion and Popradio top 10. March 2006 Dutch radiostations like Nashville FM and RTV Noord are playing "Another Rainy Day". The Dutch seem to like Vivien Searcy as Vivien experiences getting her very own Fan Page made by a Dutch fan. We´re now heading for the follow up and second Vivien Searcy single "Guitarman" written by Vivien Searcy & Andreas Rydman. The maxi single will be released in the end of may 2006. While planning for a stunning musicvideo, summergigs and new releases Patricia Viguurs is grounded in the Ragdoll Studio with the final recordings and mixes for the Vivien Searcy album "Water On Soil" that will be released early autumn this year.
The
Swedish Magazine “Country Gazette” reviews one of Vivien Searcy
and The Ozarks concert as follows: "When Vivien and the band
started with the first song, all the attention was for Vivien. And it
continued to be that way during the whole evening, I might say.
